Seth Amunrud Wins Third Conference Player of the Week of the Season
The Mon-Dak men's basketball player of the week is Seth Amunrud, a 6'4" sophomore forward from Dawson Community College. This is the third time this year Amunrud has received that honor. During a 2-0 conference week he shot 64% from the field scoring 44 points, had 14 rebounds, 8 assists, 8 steals, and 1 blocked shot in 52 minutes of play. Seth is from Bozeman, Montana and he attended Manhattan Christian High School.
Amunrud is currently 3rd in the conference in scoring at 20.9 points per game and 4th in field goal percentage at 57.1%. He is leading the conference in 3's made (59), 3 point percentage (48.4%), and free throw percentage (87.5%). He has also made the 4th most free throws and the 2nd most field goals.
But it isn't just scoring and shooting that Amunrud is excelling in. He also ranks 1st in steals per game (2.8), 2nd in assists per game (3.8) and 5th in assist to turnover ratio (2.5).
Amunrud and the 25-2 Buccaneers will be back in action at home for Sophomore Night on Monday at 7:30 pm vs. Miles Community College.
