Dawson’s Asi Named Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week
The Mon-Dak Conference men's basketball player of the week is Justin Asi, a 6'6" sophomore forward from Dawson Community College. During two non-conference wins he shot 65% from the field and 80% from the 3 point line while scoring 41 points in 41 minutes. He also had 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 6 steals. Asi is averaging 14.4 points per game for the 7-1 Buccaneers. Justin is from Melbourne, Australia and he attended St. Francis Xavier Secondary School.
Last week Dawson beat Central Wyoming 93-50 and Northwest College 83-81 in overtime at the Coach Collins Heart of a Champion Classic in Powell, Wyoming.
