Justin Asi Named Conference Player of the Week
The Mon-Dak Conference men's basketball player of the week is Justin Asi, a 6'6" sophomore forward from Dawson Community College. During two conference wins last week he shot 50% from the field, scoring 43 points in 48 minutes of play, had 15 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Justin is from Melbourne, Australia and he attended St. Frances Xavier High School.
In helping Dawson to a perfect 9-0 start in conference play, Asi is averaging 21.7 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 51% from the field, 38% from 3-point range and 71% from the free throw line.
The Bucs are back in action at home this weekend with a 4:00 pm game on Sunday afternoon vs. Bismarck State and 7:30 pm game on Monday vs. United Tribes Technical College.
