Allie Anderson Receives MVP Award
Allie Anderson received the Region XIII MVP award on Saturday after Dawson won the championship. During the tournament Anderson posted a 3-1 record with 28 hits, 14 runs, 7 ER, 3 walks, and 18 strikeouts. Her overall ERA for the 4 games was a 2.13.
"Allie is very deserving of this award," head softball coach Casey-May Huff said, "she has been our rock all season and is a huge part of our overall success this year. I can't thank her enough for everything she has done for this program in such a short time here."
Anderson has an overall record this season of 24 wins, 9 losses, and 1 save. She has only allowed 89 earned runs in 199.2 innings pitched, she had 198 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.1. She has now moved into second place in the Dawson softball record books for strikeouts passing former Buc, Heather Berrett (2023 - 176 strikeouts).
Head softball coach Casey-May Huff was also awarded Region 13 Head Coach of the Year.
