Utah Outfielder Commits to DCC Softball
The Buccaneers recently announced the commitment of outfielder, Zalia Carrillo. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2025.
Zalia, the daughter of Aaron and Josie Carrillo of West Jordan, Utah, will graduate from Bingham High School in May 2025.
In highschool, Zalia Maintained her spot on the honor roll her freshman to senior year. She has been a starter and has lettered for her team four years in a row. Her highschool team won state in 2023.
"I fell in love with the atmosphere at Dawson," Carrillo said, "the competitive drive and the family environment felt like home to me."
Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about Carrillo, "Zalia will be a great addition to our program and classroom! She takes care of business on and off the field. Zalia is also involved in a lot of community service back home, which is something that this program and athletic department hold to a high value!"
