Lady Bucs Take Four at Home
It was another great weekend for the Lady Bucs Softball team! They won all four games against conference opponent Lake Region State College. The first game was a bit of a slow start, as the Bucs only won 5-0 and played the full seven innings. However, the other three games were finished in 5 innings, due to the Bucs mercying the Royals. Those scores were 16-0, 9-0, and 9-1.
Allie Anderson and Shelby Blankenship had a great weekend on the mound. They only allowed 1 run to score in all four games, which happened to be on a defensive error. Lilly Hutchings was also able to come in and throw in the second game. She didn't give up any runs and faced 6 batters. As a staff, the pitchers had a 0.00 ERA, 29 strikeouts, 6 walks, and only gave up 20 hits.
"For an entire pitching staff to have a 0.00 ERA in 4 games is quite incredible," head softball coach Casey-May Huff stated, "you don't see that very often! This also speaks to our strong defense right now. When Lake Region did hit the ball, our defense stepped up and made plays when necessary."
The Lady Bucs are off to Miles City on Wednesday to face the Pioneers at 1:00PM and 3:00PM MST.
