Series Sweep for Softball
This past weekend the Lady Bucs faced the Bismarck State Mystics in a four-game set. On Saturday, the Bucs won 9-0 and 3-2 at home. On Sunday, the Bucs hit the road to Bismarck and brought home two wins of 8-7 and 13-7.
"It is very hard to beat the same team four times in a row," head softball coach Casey-May Huff stated, "after the second game, Bismarck had pretty much seen all of our pitching. I am very proud of how the girls handled the pressure and battled the entire series."
It was another great weekend for Stocktyn Stevenson as she hit .571. Demi Choate and Samantha Maerz also garnered averages above .500. As a team, DCC had an overall average of .362 with 42 hits, 3 doubles, 1 triple, and 8 homeruns. Allie Anderson got all 4 wins for the Bucs on the mound. In 18.2 innings pitched, she allowed 16 hits, 5 earned runs, 4 walks, 21 strikeouts, and had an overall ERA of 1.875.
The Lady Bucs are back in action at home on Wednesday April 9th versus Miles City Community College. Game times are at 1:00PM and 3:00PM.
