Lady Buc's Chatzinikoli Signs with Eastern Michigan University
Head Women's Basketball Coach Mark Weber recently announced Eirini Chatzinikoli has signed with Eastern Michigan University. EMU is an NCAA Division I institution that competes in the Mid-American Conference.
EMU head coach Sahar Nusseibeh said, "We are thrilled to welcome Eirini to our Eastern Michigan family. When first connecting, I quickly learned that Ri is a worker and a winner. She is about the team first, and values strong relationships with her teammates and coaches. On the court we believe her skill set and basketball IQ will help move our program forward. We know she's ready to do whatever it takes to help the team and we are so excited to get her here."
"We are so proud of Ri. She was our first recruit when we arrived at Dawson and she was always a pleasure to be around," Coach Weber said. "We wish her nothing but success on and off the court at EMU."
Chatzinikoli had this to say on her signing," I am grateful for my time at Dawson. It helped me grow on and off the court. JUCO taught me to stay hungry and keep pushing. D1 is the next step, but the journey continues."
