DCC Basketball to Host Food Drive
Dawson Community College women’s and men’s basketball games this weekend will not only be an opportunity to watch some entertaining and exciting games, but they will be hosting a Canned Food Drive in partnership with the DCC Wellness committee.
In the spirit of the Christmas season, fans are encouraged to bring canned and non-perishable food items to the games. Items in need include: spaghetti sauce, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, pasta, tuna, baking goods (flour, sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, condensed milk, choc chips, other), coffee, crackers, soup, granola bars, etc. All items will be given to the Dawson County Food Bank. There will be containers at the main front entrance.
On Saturday, December 8th, the women’s game starts at 4:00pm and the men’s at 6:00pm. Sunday’s games will start at 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
