Dawson CC eSports Plan on Making Big Impact at Season End

The Buccaneers Esports program is nearing the end of their season and have their sights set high on the postseason. With one week left in the regular season, the Bucs are excited to see how they will be seated.

Valorant, sadly, is out of the running for playoffs as they were placed in a highly competitive group. Regardless of the standings and having a number of brand new players to the game, they have made immense progress and we are excited to see their improvement shine through going into the spring season.

Call of Duty: Cold War 4v4 is currently sitting at 6-2 on the season after beating Marion Military Institute in week 8. It's going to be a nail-biter as the Bucs need to win their competition Thursday November 15th, and one of our opponents have to lose as there is currently a number of teams tied and only the top two seeds from each group move on. Captain Jonah DuCharme said, "This season our Call of Duty team, without a doubt, has exceeded my expectations, considering that a number of them are new to competitive Call of Duty. Our teammate, Scott Rafter, has added a great amount to the team, and his team chemistry is second to none. The team would not be the same without him."

Call of Duty: Cold War Gunfight 2v2 is currently sitting at 8-0 and have shown time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with. Other than a 3-2 Win over Alexandria Technical & Community College, no other team has taken a map during the series against the Bucs. They compete for the final week of regular season on Thursday November 18th and look extremely likely to finish the regular season at 9-0, and would most likely guarantee 1st seed going into the national tournament.
