Dina Fritz began her first season at Dawson Community College as the Head Volleyball Coach in 2017.  Coach Fritz took over the newly re-instated program after it was suspended in the summer of 2014.  She is originally from Circle, MT where she played volleyball, basketball and track during her high school years.  She was part of teams that won Class C State Championships for Circle in both volleyball and basketball while she was in high school.  After high school, Coach Fritz went to Miles Community College and played basketball.  After 1 ½ years at MCC, Fritz moved back to Circle. 

In 2010, she coached under John Marble at DCC for a season where they competed as an NJCAA Division I program in Region IX.  After her stint at DCC, Coach Fritz moved back to Circle where she coached the junior high team for a season.  Coach Fritz then moved up to be the head high school volleyball coach at Circle High School.  She spent five seasons at Circle from 2012-2016.  During her five years at Circle, she coached her teams to an impressive 92-39 record.  Along with that record, her teams were conference champions (2014, 2015), district champions (2014), divisional champions (2014, 2015), and state champions (2015).  Coach Fritz has been a part of 3 state championships in Circle; two as a player (basketball and volleyball in 2008) and one as a coach (volleyball in 2015).  In 2015, she was voted Coach of the Year after her team went 26-6 and won the State Class C Title. She was also nominated for Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2016. 

In her first season at Dawson Coach Fritz led the Lady Bucs to an impressive 11-12 record and finished 2^nd in the Western Sub-Region Tournament.  For being a first year program, the Bucs made a big impact on the MonDak Conference.  Now, entering her fifth year at the helm, Fritz has a 46-67 record overall and has had great success along the way, including multiple players named conference players of the week, all conference and all region selections every year and finishing 3^rd in the MonDak Conference in 2021 and hosting a playoff game.  Coach Fritz now has 138 total wins as a head coach and has grown Dawson into a constant contender in the MonDak Conference.

Fritz has also coached basketball and track while living in Circle, from the elementary level to high school.  Coach Fritz enjoys being a part of and watching all sports, and especially enjoys competing and winning.  She leads a program that instills good values like work ethic, teamwork, and responsibility with her student athletes and helps them gain the proper tools and education to help each student-athlete prepare for their future.
