Wright Receives Player of the Week

The Mon-Dak softball player of the week is Nekysa Wright, a sophomore utility player from Idaho Falls, Idaho.  During a 3-1 week for the Buccaneers, she was 6-12 at the plate for a .500% average.  She had 6 hits, 1 double, 1 triple, 6 RBI's, scored 6 runs, 1 base-on-balls, 4 stolen bases, and she did not strike out.  
 
Head softball coach Casey-May Huff had this to say about Wright, "We are so proud of Nekysa. It has been fun to watch her grow from freshman year to now. All her hard work is paying off!"
 
Wright leads the team with an average of .474 with a .524 on base percentage and a .895 slugging percentage. In eight games she has nine hits, two doubles, three triples, nine RBIs, and five stolen bases.
