DCC Buccaneers Shine at Mike Thorson Open
Glendive, MT—The Dawson Community College Buccaneers track and field team made its mark at the Mike Thorson Open, held Saturday at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. The team achieved remarkable individual performances and set multiple school records.
Leading the way for the Buccaneers was Aydin Jackson, who delivered a stellar performance by finishing second in the 3000-meter race and third in the mile, contributing 14 points to the men's team total. Nikki Roberts also shone brightly, placing ninth in the shot put and breaking the DCC school record. Fernanda Hernandez established a new school record in the women's 3000-meter race, while Raiden Bialorucki set school records in both the men's shot put and weight throw.
The Buccaneers' men's team scored 24 points, earning a 7th-place finish against strong competition from eight schools. Scorers for the men included:
