Tickets on Sale for DCC 5th Hall of Fame Banquet on February 3rd

The Dawson Community College Athletic Hall of Fame Weekend is quickly approaching on the weekend of February 3-4. Baseball All-American Greg Barnett, local women’s basketball legend Cheryl Van Dusen Peterson, men’s basketball All-American Doug Frederick, and player/coach/supporter Mike Wilondekwill be honored at a banquet on February 3rd and again during a home basketball game on February 4th. The Hall of Fame is part of DCC’s mission to foster a culture of excellence, and the college is excited to honor the individuals and teams who have achieved excellence in athletics over the past 65 years. Longtime sports anchor and sports director from KULR8 in Billings, Chris Byers, will be the Master of Ceremonies for the weekend.


There are limited tickets still available for the banquet on the campus at Dawson Community College on February 3rd, but must be purchased by Friday, January 26th. Tickets are $50 each. All-American Greg Barnett set a school record by winning 19 games as a pitcher at Dawson from 1999-2001. Cheryl Van Dusen was Dawson’s first All-Region women’s basketball player in 1980. Doug Frederick was the 2nd ever NJCAA All-American basketball player for Dawson for his accomplishments in the 1978-1979 season. Mike Wilondek came to Dawson as a player in 1967 and has been a major part of the college ever since as a coach, trustee and long-time supporter.
