Bio
Kyle Fultz was hired as Dawson Community College's Head Baseball Coach in December of 2024. Before coming to Dawson, Fultz recently served as an assistant coach at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Previously he was the assistant coach at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. At SNU, he was the pitching coach for two seasons in 2022 and 2023. He also worked as the hitting and catching coach from 2017-2019.
In between his two stints at Southern Nazarene, he was an assistant coach at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, serving as recruiting coordinator, pitching coach, catchers coach and third base coach.
Fultz also has experience as a high school baseball coach and assistant football coach at Lawton High School and Oklahoma Christian Academy. At Lawton High School the baseball team doubled the wins from the previous year and the team qualified for the regional semifinal.
He’s also worked with the Xenia Scouts of the Xenia, Ohio Great Lakes League in the summer of 2023, helping them make the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and win the South Division title. Since the summer of 2014, Fultz has been the head coach and head of baseball operations for the Southwest Shockers Summer Club where he’s helped guide the program to multiple Jim Walton Tournament titles, Connie Mack Regional qualifying performances, and a Connie Mack State Tournament Championship in 2017.
Fultz played a year of junior college baseball at Allen Community College and then NCAA D2 baseball at Southern Nazarene University for three seasons. At SNU he played in 120 games recording a batting average of .247 with 93 hits, 60 runs scored, 64 RBI, and 54 walks.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Southern Nazarene and earned his master’s degree in education from Greenville College. He was a first generation college students in his family. While at SNU he was presented the Dr. David Baker Leadership Award, Warrior Award for Leadership and Determination and was the baseball representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Kyle and his wife Kayla are from Guthrie, Oklahoma and have three children; Kensley, Kyzer and Kollyns.
