Lady Bucs Make History - Receive Votes in National Poll

In the Week 2 edition of the 2024 NJCAA Division II Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the Lady Buccaneers placed just outside the Top 25 at number 27. This marks the first time in school history that a men's or women's cross country team has received votes in the National Coaches' Poll.

"Our team time suggests we could have been the 25th team in the rankings, but we are relatively unknown and must show more consistency to crack the Top 25," said Buccaneer head coach Dempster Jackson. He added, "We will have an opportunity to make a big move up the National Rankings when we host 12th-ranked Bismarck State College at the Glendive Cross Country Open on October 24th."

The Glendive Cross Country Open will be held on Thursday, October 24th, at Cottonwood Country Club and Golf Course in Glendive, Montana.
