The Buccaneers competed at the Anaconda Hills Golf Course in Great Falls last week on Friday at the Providence Open. The course was tough but the team raced well.

Emberlyn Hoffman-Gaschk went out strong in the women’s 5k race and finished in 2nd place overall. The men’s team went out strong and maintained their pace to finish out with three top 10 finishes. Connor Chase placed 7th, Raymond Kirwa placed 9th, and Garet Hoke placed 10th. Eniah Boseman finished just outside the top 10 in 11th place. Due to a hilly and tough course, times were slower than last week’s race, but the Buccaneers raced well.

Coach Alex Chase Wolff said, “The team went out with the intention to work on our racing strategies and really work the hills. They all did a really good job and I am looking forward to competing against some of the same teams as well as other competition this week.”

The Buccaneers will race in Billings, MT at the Yellowjackets/ Battlin’ Bear Open on Friday, October 8th at Amend Park. The women’s 5k race will begin at 11am, with the men’s 8k following at 11:45am.
