Dawson Volleyball and Track Sign Multisport Standout from Bridger

Coach Dina Fritz has announced the signing of Nikki Roberts a 6'1" middle blocker from Bridger Montana. Roberts has been a three-sport athlete all four years of her high school career and has decided to continue playing volleyball and track at Dawson Community College.

During her four years at Bridger for volleyball, her team has won the District and Divisional Tournament every year and were State Champions her Freshman year and Runner Up's her Junior year. Along with her team success she has received All-Conference her Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons along with an All-State selection her Senior season. She was also the block leader her Sophomore and Junior year and kill leader her Senior year for her team. In track, she has placed at Districts and Divisional's all four years in shotput and was the District and Divisional champion her Sophomore and Junior year and her Junior year she placed 8th at the State Meet. Roberts has also had success in the classroom receiving Academic All-State all four years.

Roberts had this to say about choosing Dawson, "I chose Dawson because I loved the atmosphere and the campus's welcoming environment. Meeting Coach Fritz and experiencing the team's camaraderie when I vised convinced me that it was the right choice to continue as a student-athlete. I am excited to be a part of the DCC volleyball program as well as the track and field team."

Coach Fritz says, "I have watched Nikki play over the past couple of years and have seen her grow as a player during that time. I am excited that she has chosen Dawson and think she is capable of doing some great things here both in volleyball and track. She has a very high work ethic and a positive attitude that makes her very coachable."
