Dawson Wins Last Home Game of Season

The Lady Bucs prevailed in four sets against Rocky JV with scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-15. Dawson honored their 7 sophomores before the start of the game and they had a great evening finishing out their two years.

The Lady Bucs were led by Scarlette Schwindt with 16 kills followed by Alaina Woods with 11. Reece Fleming led the team in assists with 45. Schwindt, finished the contest with 3 aces followed by Fleming's 2. Lauren Rodacker led the charge in the back row totaling 27 digs, followed by Schwindt with 20, Brittany Kaufman with 19, and Fleming with 13. Abi Krantz and Fleming led the team in blocks with 1.5 each, followed by Woods and Sierra Petesch with 1 each.

Coach Dina Fritz says, "In a night full of emotions I was proud that the team stayed together and fought to get the win. These sophomores are a special group and I am proud of all of their accomplishments on and off the court. I cannot wait to see where their lives take them after they graduate from Dawson. We are focused on finishing out our conference season and starting the playoffs, one game at a time."

The Lady Bucs finish the conference season on the road against rival Miles Community College on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:00 PM MST.
