Lady Bucs Win A Thrilling Five Set Match at Home

The Lady Bucs were back home for their first conference game at home against the Williston State College Tetons and picked up their first conference victory in an exciting five set match. With scores of 20-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, and 15-12 the Lady Bucs got the reverse sweep against the Lady Tetons.

Leading the way for the Bucs was Scarlette Schwindt with 17 kills followed close behind by Brittany Kaufman with 16, and Alaina Woods with 10. Reece Fleming led the Bucs with 42 assists. Lauren Rodacker was the dig leader with 23 followed by Reece Fleming and Zandora Longtree both with 20. Schwindt ended the game with 3 aces and Fleming finished with 2. Sierra Petesch led the team in blocks with 2.5 followed by Fleming with 2, and Woods with 1.

Coach Dina Fritz says, "It was a good win for us to get under our belt. We needed to get back home and get a win and to do it in five after being down 2-0 was pretty great. We now need to refocus on the next game, we have a quick turnaround playing tomorrow night but I know they are ready for it."

The Lady Bucs play Dakota College at Bottineau at 6:00 PM MST on Wednesday, September 13th for the second of two home matches this week.
