Lady Bucs Fall Short Against the Lady Mystics

The Lady Bucs finished their marathon of away games with a four set conference loss at Bismarck State College with scores of 14-25, 23-25, 26-24, and 16-25. It was a tough hitting night for the Lady Bucs and they ended up hitting negative for the first time this season.

The kill leader for the night was Brittany Kaufman with 10 followed by Alaina Woods and Scarlette Schwindt both with 9. Reece Fleming led the way with 28 assists and three Bucs got into the ace column with 1 ace a piece. Schwindt led the team in digs with 31 followed by Lauren Rodacker with 25. The Bucs had another great night blocking at the net and were led by Sierra Petesch with 2.5 followed by Kaufman with 2.

Coach Dina Fritz says, "We started off the conference season playing three really tough games on the road, it has tested us mentally and physically and we will be better for it in the end. We are happy to be coming back home and are excited for the next part of the season to come."

Dawson is back at home now for a while starting a couple week home stand. Their first game back home is Tuesday September 12 versus Williston State starting at 6pm, the following day the Lady Bucs play Dakota College Bottineau at 6pm.
