Lady Bucs Finish off The Weekend with a Win

Dawson Lady Bucs finished off the long week with another win, this time against the Wyoming All-Stars. The win is number four for the Bucs so far this season; the scores of the match were 25-23, 26-24, 21-25, and 25-23.

Brittany Kaufman led the way in kills with 16 followed by Scarlette Schwindt with 12. Kaufman and Lauren Rodacker finished the game with 25 digs, with Schwindt right behind with 21. Reece Fleming finished with 42 assists and led the team in aces with 3.

The Bucs had a great blocking game. Alaina Woods finished with 2.5 blocks followed by Fleming with 2, Kaufman, and Sierra Petesch both had 1.5 blocks for the game.

Coach Dina Fritz says, "It was a great way to end the long week with a win. We played 5 matches in 5 days against solid teams and the girls worked hard and grew each game. We are now entering conference play this next week and while we still have things we need to work on we are feeling good about where we are standing."

The Lady Bucs start off conference play at 6 PM MST August 29th, in Devils Lake against Lake Region State College. The following day the Bucs take on North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton at 6pm MST.
