Emberlyn Gaschk of Billings Skyview has signed her official NJCAA National Letter of Intent to run at Dawson Community College. Gaschk has been a standout runner throughout her high school career. She has made an appearance at the MHSA AA cross country meet all four years of high school, with three All State finishes during her sophomore (12th), junior (8th) and senior(10th) years. Gaschk has also placed in the top 5 of the Billings City Meet each year throughout high school, and won the city meet this year as a senior.

In track, Gaschk qualified for State as a freshman (3200m) and as a sophomore (1600m and 3200m). She has also competed in the Big Sky State Games Montana Mile as a sophomore. Gaschk will be looking forward to getting back on the track this spring and competing after not being able to compete last spring due to Covid-19.

Coach Alex Chase Wolff said, “Emberlyn has continued to be a highly competitive runner and I am excited to watch her continue to grow and improve at Dawson over the next two years. I had the privilege to coach Emberlyn while coaching track at Skyview and am thrilled to have the opportunity to coach her again as she begins her college running career.”

Emberlyn’s father commented on her high school career saying, “ I am so proud of all she has accomplished from her 3 All State places, taking 3rd at the Nike Cross country Regionals, being All City all 4 years of high school, and leading her team at Skyview as a team captain for three years. I look forward to watching her excel both academically and athletically at Dawson!”

Emberlyn Gaschk had this to say about coming to Dawson, “I am so excited to continue my running career into college and look forward to continuing to improve and grow as a student and as a runner.”
