Dawson Women's Basketball Coach Mark Weber announced the signing of Kataya Kill Eagle-Flansburg from Dodson High School. Kill Eagle is a 5'8" guard who is a prolific scorer.

"Kataya is the epitome of the kinds of women we recruit. She is a great person, great student, and loves the game of basketball, Coach Weber said. "Kataya is a perfect fit for our program and our style of play and we expect big things from her."

Kataya played varsity basketball since she was in eighth grade and scored her 1,000th point her junior year. She averaged 19 points a game, 9.75 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. She set the school record for points in a single game with 47. She fractured her ankle this year and missed the second half of the season. Kataya is also a 3-time All-State selection and 4 time Academic All-State player.

"I chose Dawson because I liked the friendly vibe and genuine emphasis on helping me grow as a student-athlete. Dawson has a pre-nursing program that aligns with my educational goals and Coach Weber has expressed a focus on helping me excel in basketball at the collegiate level," Kill Eagle said.
