The Lady Bucs pulled out another close game edging United Tribes Technical College 79-75 at Dawson's annual Hall of Fame Game. In the third meeting between the teams the Lady Bucs win gave them a 3-0 record versus UTTC this season.

The game did not disappoint as both team's explosive offenses were on full display. The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, teams matching shot for shot which led to a 25-24 halftime lead for the Lady Bucs. In the second quarter the Lady Bucs defense turned up the pressure, slowing UTTC's offensive attack and the Bucs led at the half 48-40.

The third quarter began with Dawson racing to a 12-point lead early in the period. The sharp-shooting UTTC team shot their way back into the game and cut Dawson's lead to six entering the final period. The game remained close and was tied at 70 with just minutes to go. The Lady Bucs executed down the stretch and hit some clutch free throws to provide the winning margin.

"Our team continues to show a lot of toughness, and we seem to improve every time we take the court. Tonight, we had a season low 12 turnovers. Giving the ball away has plagued us all season. Our defense was ramped up forcing 18 turnovers which we converted into 25 points. We'll be ready for another tough game tomorrow," Coach Weber said after the game.

Dawson was led by McKenzi Petersen with 28 points and eight rebounds, Kylee Old Elk with 27 points and 6 assists, and Alaina Woods with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

The Lady Bucs are back in action Monday as North Dakota College of Science comes to town in the last game of a five-game home stand in which the Lady Bucs have won the first four.
