The Lady Bucs walked away with a home court win against Lake Region 60-59. The game was close wire-to-wire with the largest lead being seven points. Both teams played hard, leaving everything they had on the floor. The Lady Bucs closed each quarter on a run keeping the game tight throughout. The Lady Bucs closed the first half scoring the last five points taking a 30-29 halftime lead.

Dawson came out of halftime playing lethargic, scoring only eight points and heading into the final period down seven. The Lady Bucs stormed back in the fourth quarter, opening the period on an 8-0 run to take a one point lead. The Bucs stretched their lead to six with 7:00 left in the game. Lake Region then hit consecutive three-point shots to tie the game again. It was back and forth the rest of the way. McKenzi Petersen stepped to the line with six seconds left to put Dawson ahead by one. Lake Region's last shot missed and Petersen corralled the rebound as the final horn sounded. Petersen led Dawson with 24 points and 8 rebounds followed by Evelyn Old Coyote with 10 points and 6 assists and Breanna Old Elk with 10 points.

Following the game Coach Weber said,"That was a great win against a very tough Lake Region team. We continued to share the ball, made timely free throws, and executed in crunch time. We are still not playing our best basketball, but this gives us some good momentum as we look to close out our home stand."

The Lady Bucs are back in action at home Thursday night with a game against Bismarck State College. It will be Dawson's annual Play4Kay Pink Game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink. The Lady Bucs will be raffling off several prizes and there will be a silent auction near the concession stand.
