It was a great day, but a long day for your Lady Bucs on Saturday. After losing to Miles Community College on Friday 7-6, DCC had to play three games Saturday. Winning the first game against DCTC 9-6, the Bucs moved on to the next game versus MCC. Dawson had to beat MCC twice for the championship. With Riley Price on the mound, DCC walked away with the win 11-7. This brought them to the final game on Saturday, having then played three back-to-back games. Faith McDonald got the start and the win for the Lady Bucs. Defeating MCC 12-3, your Buccaneers brought home the 2024 Region XIII title!

Head Coach Casey-May Huff had this to say, "There aren't enough words to express my gratitude towards this team. Despite facing adversity, these girls rose to the occasion and persevered. We could've lost hope after losing to MCC on Friday, but the girls came back with grit and a chip on their shoulders. One of their goals all year was to "chase the pressure" and I truly believe that was displayed on the field all weekend."

The Lady Bucs will be the host for the 2024 District H playoffs. This will take place this Friday, May 10th, at 12:00PM and 2:00PM MST. It's looking like it's going to be a great day for some softball! Come out and support your Lady Bucs as they face a team from Iowa. Go Bucs!
