Lady Bucs Sweep Lady Jacks

It was a great day at the field for your Lady Bucs as they outscored their opponent 29-8. Faith Mcdonald held it down on the mound, as she went the length of 8.2 innings. Shelby Blankenship helped out with pitching 2.1 innings in the second game. McDonald had 13 strikeouts and Blankenship struck out 5. 

At the plate, Jillian Johnson led the way with a 0.714 batting average. She had five hits, 3 doubles, five RBIs, five runs scored, and one walk. Samantha Maerz, Ashley Hammers, and Nekysa Wright all hit about 0.500. The Bucs garnered a total of 29 hits, five doubles, two triples, one homerun, 26 RBIs, and seven walks.

Head coach Casey-May Huff had this to say, "I am very proud of how Faith and Shelby threw today. At the plate, we made the adjustments needed and passed our bats consistently. It was a great day to help us get ready for tomorrow!"

The Buccaneers are back in action tomorrow, Wednesday April 25th, against Miles Community College. Games will be at 1:00PM and 3:00PM.
