Big Fifth Inning Leads Dawson Past Northland CC

Dawson CC scored five runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Northland CC 8-0 on Thursday. Samantha Maerz doubled, scoring one run, Brooke Lijewski hit a SAC fly, scoring one run, Ashley Hammers singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

The Lady Bucs got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run. A ground out by Madi Duke extended the lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning. In the third inning, a double from Faith McDonald gave the Lady Bucs a 3-0 lead.

McDonald earned the win. She surrendered only two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking none. 

Nekysa Wright, McDonald, and Stocktyn Stevenson each collected two hits. McDonald, Maerz, Hammers, Lijewski, and Duke each drove in one run for the Lady Bucs. The girls ran wild on the bases, amassing three total stolen bases.

Your Bucs will play against the University of Jamestown on Friday March 29th. Games are scheduled for 8:00AM and 10:00AM CST.
