The Buccaneers recently announced the signing of right handed pitcher and short stop, Cate Underwood. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2024.

Underwood, the daughter of Danny and Sarah Underwood of Eagle Mountain, UT, will graduate from Cedar Valley High School in May 2024.

During her time in high school, Cate was selected to the All Region Team both her Sophomore and Junior year of high school.

"I really love the community and Coach Huff," Underwood stated, "Overall, it just feels like a really good fit for me. I am excited to start a new journey and become a Buccaneer!"

Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about Underwood, "Cate will be a huge factor for us next year! I fully expect that she will come in and be a game changer. We are excited that she chose Dawson to be her home for the next two years."
