The Buccaneers  recently announced the signing of right handed pitcher,  Georgia Boekhout. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2024.

Boekhout, the daughter of Sheri and Brock Boekhout of Pittsburg, KS, will graduate from Pittsburg High School in May 2024.

During her time in high school, Boekhout was in high academic standing. She was recognized as one of the students who maintained a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school, garnering a spot in the National Honors Society. Georgia was selected as the MVP Under Armor Softball Player her freshman year, as well as, Second Team SEK (Southeast Kansas) for Pittsburg High School. Boekhout was also invited to a select camp in Florida where she was nominated as MVP of the Factory Midwest Camp.

"I love Coach Huff and the team environment," Boekhout  said, "I am really excited for this adventure!"

Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about Georgia, "I am very happy Georgia decided we were her future home. She is going to add great value to our pitching staff and to our overall team dynamic!"
