Garet Hoke, a runner from Billings Skyview, has signed his National Letter of Intent with the DCC Buccaneer cross country and track program for next year. Hoke leaves his high school cross country career with a personal record time of 17:30.3 from the Billings Amend Park meet this fall. Hoke placed 10th at the Billings City XC Meet, and led the Skyview team as team captain this year. He has also held a varsity cross country team spot the last two years at Skyview.

Coach Alex Chase Wolff said, “Garet is such a great kid. I am so excited for him to join us next year and look forward to his continued improvement both in cross country and track. He is going to be a huge asset to our men’s program in cross country! As a previous high school coach of Garet’s, I have always loved his go getter attitude when it comes to practices and competition, and I am thrilled to have him join this growing program here at DCC!”

Hoke had this to say about coming to Dawson, “I have run for Coach Chase before and I know that she can push me to improve as a runner. I also felt so comfortable and like this was exactly where I was supposed to go while visiting Dawson. I am looking forward to being a Buccaneer!”
