Connor Chase has signed his National letter of intent to continue his education and running career at Rocky Mountain College next fall, 2023. Connor who is from Billings, MT graduated from Billings Skyview in 2021 and then joined DCC in the fall of 2021.

During his time at Dawson Connor has set a standard both on the cross country course and the track, but also in the classroom and the community. Connor led his cross country team to qualify and compete at the NJCAA National Cross Country meet his freshman year. His team finished 26th overall. During his freshman track season Conner battled through an injury during all of indoor, but was able to compete in outdoor track where he set the school record in the 3000m and the 3000m steeplechase.

So far in his sophomore year Connor individually qualified for and competed in the NJCAA National Cross Country Meet. He also just finished his first indoor track season where he currently has set the record at DCC again in the 3000m with a time of 9:22. With his indoor track season ending and outdoor track season just beginning, he will finish out his time at DCC hoping to qualify for Nationals in the 3000m steeplechase.

Connor has made his mark on the cross country and track program, but has also excelled in the classroom. Connor has been on the President's Academic Honor List all 3 semesters he has currently completed. Connor not only excels in the classroom but is involved both on campus and within the community. As both a resident assistant (RA) and a student ambassador, he stays busy. However he still finds time to be involved within the community as he was just awarded the Montana Athletes in Service Award from Campus Compact in October at the Cat-Griz game.

Connor commented about his signing at Rocky saying, "I am so excited to join the team at Rocky! Coach Mike is a good coach and I can't wait to run for him. Going to school in Glendive and running here at Dawson has helped me grow and prepared me for where I need to be to compete at the next level. I am so thankful for my time at Dawson and all the support from our community. DCC will always hold a special place in my heart, but I am excited to look towards the next chapter after graduation at Dawson."

Dawson's coach, Alex Chase Wolff said, "Connor has truly made such a positive impact on our program, but also within the school. He will be missed, but I couldn't be happier to see him continue to grow, learn, and compete at the next level. It's been a privilege to coach Connor during his time at DCC, and I can't wait to see all he continues to do both as a runner but also as a person when he finishes his degree."
