Ty Buckmon and Justin Asi were named All-Region basketball players for Dawson Community College. There were a total of eight players selected for the NJCAA Division I All-Region XIII Team.

Buckmon is a 6'3 sophomore point guard from The Woodlands, TX. He finished the season averaging 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Asi is a 6'6 freshman forward from Melbourne, Australia. He led Dawson in scoring with 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 57% from the field and 43% from the 3-point line.

"It's a big honor to have these guys honored by the region," said Dawson Coach Joe Peterson. "There were a lot of good players in our league this year, but these were definitely two of the best. Ty really carried us for most of the year offensively and Justin was pretty consistent night in and night out. He is so versatile with his ability to score inside and out."

The other members of the All-Region team included Peyton Newburn (MVP) and Kaleb Larson from North Dakota State College of Science, Rex Stirling from Williston State College, Ethan Venema from Miles Community College, Blessed Barhayiga from Lake Region State College and Isaiah Davis from Bismarck State College.
