Dawson freshman forward Justin Asi was named the Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week. Asi led the Bucs to two wins in the Rustler Classic in Riverton, Wyoming over the weekend, beating Western Wyoming 77-68 and Central Wyoming 91-76. Both games were tied at halftime, but Asi took over in the 2nd half to help them build double digit leads. In the first game, he had 15 points and 5 rebounds in the 2nd half. In the second game, he had 14 points and 8 rebounds in the 2 nd half.

In the two games, while shooting 67% from the field, Asi scored a total of 37 points on only 24 shots, had 15 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 35 minutes of play. He finished with a double-double on Saturday scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  

Justin is from Melbourne, Australia and he attended St. Francis Xavier High School.

Dawson will host Rocky JV on Saturday for a women's and men's doubleheader at 2:00 and 4:00 pm. Then they will host Northwest College on Tuesday night at 5:30 and 7:30 pm.
