On Saturday at 5:30 pm, Buccaneer fans will get their first chance to see the DCC Men's Basketball team. The Bucs will be hosting their annual Red-White scrimmage at the Toepke Center. Admission is free. The festivities will start with a 3 point contest, pitting the best sharp-shooters against each other in an epic showdown. The team will then split up for a 40 minute intra-squad scrimmage. At half-time, the high flying Bucs will take to the air to perform their best aerial acrobatics in a slam dunk contest. After the game, any fans who purchase a $5 raffle ticket will get a chance to shoot a half-court shot. Anyone who makes the long range shot will share half the pot.

Dawson is coming off a 24-8 season in which they reached the Regional Championship Game for the fourth straight year. The only returners from last year's team are sophomores Ty Buckmon, Roniel Oguekwe and Aleksis Nika, but the Bucs welcome a talented group of freshman.

The regular season will begin with the Mon-Dak Conference Tip-off Tournament at 4 Bears Casino in New Town, ND November 3-5. Their first home game will be on Saturday, November 18.
