Just in time for their upcoming seasons, the Dawson Community College baseball and softball fields now have new scoreboards. With the help of WBI Energy equipment and employees, along with the DCC facilities crew, led by Todd Thompson; the new scoreboards were installed this week before the weather went downhill. Robin Thompson, Dwight Dejaegher, Roman Bosworth, Eli Bachmeier, Shaun Williamson, Nathan Rosaaen, Jeremy Albrecht and Preston Salisbury.

"It is pretty exciting to get these up," shared Dawson Athletic Director Joe Peterson. "We are grateful to our sponsors who made this possible and to our DCC Facilities crew and WBI Energy for all of their hard work. Baseball and Softball are very important to our school. They provide competitive teams every year and great entertainment for our campus and community. These scoreboards will make an even better experience for our spectators."

The baseball scoreboard at Kolberg Field was sponsored by Bravera Bank and the softball scoreboard at BL Baker Field is sponsored by Glendive Medical Center. It is a major upgrade for these programs with white LED lights that are much easier to see in the sunlight and team names can be changed for each game. The new boards also have a decorative truss on top with logos.

The old boards were the original ones purchased when the new fields were built in the early 2000's. Softball Coach Casey May Huff shared, "Thank you to our donors and to those who worked so hard throughout the entire process to make this happen. Dawson softball is blessed to have such a nice, new addition to our field!"

Baseball Coach Tyler Pollock added, "We are extremely excited to have a new scoreboard at the baseball field. What a wonderful addition to our facility and campus. I know our current and future players will enjoy it for many years to come. This will also carry weight in attracting more talent to the baseball team. On behalf of the baseball team, we want to give a huge thanks to Bravera Bank for making this a reality."
