Bucs Baseball Splits with Top Ranked Bismarck State

Dawson Baseball was satisfied in splitting with Bismarck State College this past weekend. Bismarck is ranked nationally #7 according to the junior college baseball report.

Game 1

Late Score Costs DCC Baseball against BSC
Saturday's game against Bismarck State College was a heartbreaker for DCC Buccaneers Baseball, as they lost the lead late in a 10-4 defeat. Nate Scragg led Bucs at the plate with a 2-4 day, while Ty Yurkovich went 1-2 with 2 RBIs.

Game 2

Bomersback throws complete game shutout to lead DCC to victory over BSC

Matthew Bomersback didn't allow a single run as DCC Buccaneers Baseball defeated Bismarck St College 2-0 on Saturday. Bomersback allowed just four hits. Brett Curran provided the offense for the Bucs with a 2 run homerun in the 1^st. Ty Yurkovich also went 2-3 at the plate in the game.

Game 3

DCC Baseball clinches lead in sixth inning for victory over BSC.

DCC Buccaneers Baseball snagged a late lead and defeated Bismarck 7-3 on Sunday. The game was tied at three with DCC Buccaneers Baseball batting in the top of the sixth when Isaac Richardson doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

The Bucs offense was led by Burdette, Richardson, and Velazquez who all had multiple hit games. Isaac Richardson was 2-3 with two doubles and 2 RBIs in the game, while Brett Curran chipped in with a homerun of his own.

Frederick Romano pitched six strong inning for the Bucs earning the win and improving his record to 4-0 on the season, Kevin Lopez closed the door in the 7^th to pick up his first save on the season.

Game 4

DCC Baseball loses lead early in defeat to BSC

DCC Buccaneers Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-4 loss to Bismarck St College on Sunday. Burdette had a 2 RBI double, while Yurkovich, Curran, Velazquez, Scragg, and Richardson all pitched in a hit for the Buccaneers in the game.

Coach Pollock stated, “Obviously, our goal is to win all of our conference series, but when you get two wins over a nationally ranked program like BSC it’s a solid weekend. Our team has been preparing all year to compete at a high level in big games and we saw really good things from all aspects of the game. However, I believe our best baseball is still ahead of us.”
