Dawson Cortese, a sophomore first baseman from Dawson Community College, has been selected Mon-Dak Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

During games last weekend, he was 8-13 at the plate (.615%), had 5 singles, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 grand slam, scored 9 runs, 7 RBI’s, 4 walks and a slugging percentage of 1.077. He also did not strike out and had a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Dawson is from Laurel, Montana, where he attended Laurel High School.
