DCC Baseball Volunteer at Ronald McDonald House

The Buccaneer Baseball team flew down to Phoenix, Arizona for their annual spring break trip to play Junior College teams in the Phoenix area. Before the Bucs took the field this week, they engaged in a volunteer project at the Ronald McDonald House in Phoenix.

The Ronald McDonald House is a charity that offers free or low cost housing for families with kids in the hospital. They have houses all over the country and serve thousands of families each year. On Sunday, the baseball team had the opportunity to assist with anything the house needed done to keep it up to standard. They were able to engage with some of the families staying at the house while sanitizing and cleaning throughout. Coach McClure pointed out, “This is a charity that I personally have experienced with having to stay in a RMH when I was younger. The guys really had a great time at the RMH in Phoenix. It was great to see our guys really engage with such a great charity.”
