The Dawson Community College baseball team took a trip to Lincoln Elementary School where Assistant Coach Dan Christmann works. According to Coach Christmann, "Our whole goal for this trip was to donate some needed playground sports balls." 

While at the school the team had the opportunity to sit down for lunch with the students and engage in conversations with the kids. Marc and Jake (student athletes from Colorado) stated, "The kids were fun to be around and it was a warm feeling to see the kids engage with our teammates." 

Head Coach Phil McClure pointed out, "This is a great opportunity for our athletes to get involved with the youth in our community. It opens a lot of doors between DCC and the local community. This is something that the baseball team will continue to do as we focus on the impact we have in the community and the lives of the children."
