DCC Baseball Player Anthony Good Signs with Missouri Valley College

Sophomore pitcher Anthony Good of Winnemucca, Nevada signed his National Letter of Intent to play his next two seasons for NAIA school Missouri Valley College.

Missouri Valley College competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and is led by second year head coach Adam Enright. This past season, the Vikings program qualified for postseason play for the first time since 2016.

After graduating from Albert Lowry High School in 2017, Good signed at Dawson Community College to play for former head coach Chris Lewis.  Good played in 2018, but then had to red-shirt in 2019 due to a season ending injury.  After a year of working hard to get back into better health, Good was able to make it into the starting pitching rotation this season.  Unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus pandemic cancelling all spring sports competition, Good was unable to finish his career as a Buccaneer.  In two appearances this season, Good has pitched 8.2 innings and had 5 strikeouts.

Head Coach Phil McClure commented, "He will be a key asset to the MVC program.  Anthony was one of the hardest workers we had on the pitching staff. His personality was a lot of fun to be around”.

Anthony was excited about his signing, “I came here to Dawson here in 2017.  It turned out to be one the best decisions I’ve ever made.  I got to further my education and continue my baseball career! Everyone here at Dawson helped me in every way they could from the education side and in baseball.  I’m excited for my future at Missouri Valley College, looking to be in a big role to help my team win games! Thank you to everyone at Dawson for helping me!”
