On Tuesday September 10th, the DCC Volleyball team took on the Royals from Lake Region State College. The Bucs won in an exciting 4 set match losing the first set but coming back with vengeance to win the next three.
The first set was a nail biter with the Lady Bucs coming just short, with a score of 25-23. The second set, they came out strong winning 25-19. The third set proved to be even more eventful, as the Bucs kept the lead sailing past the Royals with a win of 25-14. The last set was fought hard and the Lady Bucs finished strong with a score of 25-20.
Stat leaders for the game were Harlee Speth leading the way with 20 kills, 15 digs, 4 block assists, and 3 aces. Along with her was Shayna Baugh with 15 kills, 2 solo blocks, and 3 aces. Shelby Westfall helped the team with 4 kills. Kinzee Koch had 14 digs and Anniekate Burghduff helped out with 10 digs. Nynah Bryant led the team with 38 assists and had 11 digs. Shaunita Blacksmith was a strong back row player with 6 digs.
