Dawson Volleyball Adds Outside Hitter from Idaho

Dawson Community College and Volleyball Coach Dina Fritz are pleased to announce the signing of Cedar Hopkins from Soda Springs, Idaho.

Hopkins received All-State Second Team and All-Area Honorable Mention in her junior year playing at Soda Springs High School.  She is also a dual sport athlete winning state titles with her basketball team from 2017-2019.  Hopkins says, “I am very excited to continue my volleyball journey at Dawson Community College.  It has been my dream to continue on since my freshman year.  When I visited DCC, I immediately felt welcome and that I wanted to be a part of the community.  The team was a family and that is what I’m looking for.  I can’t wait for this next season.”

Coach Fritz is also very excited about adding Hopkins to the roster for the fall.  She says, “Cedar will be another great outside for us in the fall.  She knows how to hit different shots and be a team player.  She will do anything for her teammates and has the team first mentality.  I am excited that she choose to become a Buccaneer and continue her career with our DCC family.”
