DCC Volleyball Wins a Thrilling Five Set Match

On Wednesday September 19th, the DCC Volleyball team took on the Lady Tetons from Williston State College.  The Bucs won in an exciting five set match taking the first two sets then dropping the next two before finishing the match in the fifth.  In the first set, the Lady Bucs started off with lots of intensity and fire in their eyes as they cruised to an easy 25-10 win.  The second set proved to be a little more difficult for the Bucs, but after pulling away late and winning 25-23 they went into intermission with a 2-0 lead.  Coming out of intermission the Bucs dropped the next two 18-25 and 22-25 forcing a fifth set.  But the Bucs were ready as they have been there before multiple times this year.  The Bucs flew to a 15-3 victory in the fifth set.  Stat leaders for this game were Shayna Baugh with 23 kills, Baugh also led in blocks with 4.5 and aces with 6 followed closely behind by Harlee Speth with 5 aces.  Samantha Youngman led the team in assists with 52.   Erin Campbell led the back row with 25 digs and Cierra Loudon was right behind her with 23.  The win moved the Lady Bucs to a 2-2 record in the Mon-Dak Conference.
