Lady Bucs Bounce Back in A Dominating Win Over Dakota College

The Dawson Community College volleyball team took on Dakota College Bottineau Friday October 5th.  They picked up a great win, bouncing back after losing a couple of close ones the week before.  This was the Lady Bucs “Pink Night” to show support for anyone that has been affected by breast cancer.  The DCC volleyball team donated all the 50-50, Buc-A-Ball, and gate money that they received, along with other donations to the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk that will be held on Saturday, October 13th

The Lady Bucs took a commanding lead in the first set and never looked back with a first set score of 25-8.  This set the tone for the rest of the match.  The Lady Jacks tried to make a push at the beginning of set two but the Bucs closed the door shut on them and went up 2-0 into intermission with a 25-12 win.  The third set the Bucs continued their dominance and won 25-9 to close out the match with a 3-0 victory.

The leaders for the match were Shayna Baugh with 15 kills and 4.5 blocks.  Cierra Loudon followed closely behind with 7 kills and also tallied 11 digs.  Nynah Bryant led the team with 19 assists and Samantha Youngman put in 10.  Adalie Reinhart led in aces with 5 and Erin Campbell tied with Loudon in digs with 11.

The Lady Bucs go on the road for the next couple weeks, first taking on in-state rival Miles Community College at 7pm on Monday October 8th in Miles City. The Bucs will return to Dawson to play their last home game of the regular season on October 22nd at 7pm when they will be honoring their sophomores.
