Shayna Baugh, a 5'11" freshman middle hitter/middle blocker from Dawson Community College, earned Player of the Week honors in the Mon-Dak Conference. In five matches last week, including wins over Williston State College and Eastern Wyoming College, she had 63 kills in 169 attempts with 17 errors, 28 blocks, 17 digs, 2 assists, and 11 aces. Shayna is from Brigham City, Utah and she attended Box Elder High School.
“Baugh took over in a couple of games for us in the front row,” Coach Dina Fritz said. “She had some very good timely kills and blocks during the week that helped us push over the hump and get a couple of wins and play very competitively against strong teams.”
The Lady Bucs return home to resume their conference schedule with games on Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 pm.
