The DCC volleyball team traveled to Williston State College on Monday October 15th to compete in a MonDak Conference game.  The Bucs came away another win to remain in 4th place in the conference, winning 3-1 over the Tetons.  Going into the match the Bucs knew it was a must win situation for them and they needed to step up to the plate.  Coming out in the first set, the Bucs went on a roll and even after a late push by the Tetons, the visitors pulled away and won 25-18.  The second set the Bucs kept up the same pace to take a 2-0 lead with a 25-11 victory.  After the intermission, the Tetons were not ready to give in quite yet and took a set off the Bucs with a 19-25 win.  The Bucs knew they didn’t want to get to a fifth set so after a back and forth set they finally pulled away late to win 25-22 and take the match 3-1.

The leaders for the match were Lexi Begger with 17 kills followed by Harlee Speth with 11.  Nynah Bryant led the team in assists with 40 and the Bucs had four girls that each had an ace.  Erin Campbell led in digs with 26.  With this win the Bucs took control of the 4th place seed in the upcoming Regional Tournament.  The Lady Bucs last home game will be on Monday, October 22nd against rival Miles Community College with the game time starting at 7:00 pm.  The sophomores will be honored before the start of the game.
