DCC recently held their 2019 Awards Banquet at the Toepke Center in Glendive. The annual event features scholarships, awards, and other recognition to current and future students as well as all athletes.
All sports teams, education departments, campus clubs and organizations had an opportunity to present students and athletes with awards and scholarships earned throughout the academic year.
After another winning season with an overall record of 18 wins and 14 losses, the Lady Buccaneers basketball team honored some individuals with special recognition. Alexius Foster of Tacoma, WA, who was 1st Team All-Conference and All-Region, was awarded the Team MVP. Ejanae Coopwood of Las Vegas, NV, also a 1st Team All-Conference selection, was the Team’s Best Defensive Player and Mrs. Hustle. Coopwood was also presented with a trophy basketball recognizing her achievement of being Dawson’s all-time leader in steals. Arena Plenty of Garrowen, MT received the Best Character on the team. Top Rebounder for the Lady Bucs was awarded to Chynna Torrence.
