In the second game, Dawson came firing on all cylinders against the Jimmies. The Bucs got on the board in the first inning after Samantha Maerz singled, scoring two runs. A single by Faith McDonald extended the Bucs lead to 3-1 in the top of the third inning.

The Jimmies came back and took the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fifth after Dawson committed an error. But, that wasn't enough to hold DCC down. They flipped the game in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Stocktyn Stevenson that drove in one.

Riley Price earned the win for the Lady Bucs. Price allowed eight hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking two.

Dawson piled up 16 hits in the game. Maerz drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Bucs with three runs batted in, overall going 2-for-4. Jillian Johnson and Stevenson each collected three hits. McDonald, Shelby Blankenship, and Brooke Lijewski each collected multiple hits. Blankenship stole two bases.

Head softball coach Casey-May Huff had this to say about the games, "I am really proud of how my girls played! We are losing due to not taking care of the little, controllable situations right now, but this can be a positive thing for us once we learn how to control our side and execute."

The Lady Bucs are back in action in Miles City on Wednesday April 3rd. They will face Miles Community College for their conference opener.
